Former Science and Technology Consul Ms. Liang Jin Visits School to Strengthen Sino-Japanese Educational Collaboration

Ms. Liang Jin, the former Science and Technology Consul atthe Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Nagoya, Japan, andan advisor to the Sichuan Province Science and Technology Association, recentlyvisited our school with her delegation for a discussion and exchange. Theseminar commenced with a warm welcome speech by Party Secretary Wang Zhengshu,who introduced our school's academic and cultural exchanges with Japan andexpressed a strong desire to enhance collaboration with Japanese counterparts.


Ms. Liang Jin boasts 41 years of experience in foreignaffairs, having held positions at the Foreign Affairs Office of the SichuanProvince and the Chinese Consulate General in Nagoya. She has fostered closerelationships with universities, institutions, and enterprises involved inChina-Japan research, contributing significantly to Sino-Japanese exchanges. In2018, she was honored with the Japanese Foreign Minister's Commendation Award.

During the seminar, Ms. Liang shared her insights ongovernment and grassroots exchanges between China and Japan, the current stateof Japanese society, and an overview of tertiary education in Japan. Sheprovided in-depth guidance on how to meet our school's internationaldevelopment needs, focusing particularly on enhancing student academicqualifications and internship opportunities.


At the conclusion of the meeting, Vice President Yuan Jiweiexpressed sincere gratitude for Ms. Liang's visit. He expressed his hope toappoint Ms. Liang as an "International Affairs Advisor" to offerprofessional guidance and suggestions for our school's "GinkgoInternationalization" strategy in Japan, aiming to elevate ourinternational development to new heights. This collaboration aligns withbroader efforts to enhance educational exchanges between China and Japan, whichhave seen significant growth in recent years, with over 100 educationalinstitutions participating in conferences to promote comprehensivecollaboration in the education sector.
