Chinese TeachingSkills Internship Programme of Gingko College in Thailand


The programme aims to share China's story, amplify China's voice, andshowcase China's image. Recently, the 3rd Chinese Teaching Skills InternshipProgramme of Gingko College was launched, and five Ginkgo students traveled toThailand to officially commence their Chinese teaching practicum.

01 New Chapter of International Exchange Programme

On June 18th, the opening ceremony of the 3rd ChineseTeaching Skills Internship Programme was held in Thailand.

The director of the Thai Department of Education extended awarm welcome to the current interns. Huang Ming, Dean of the School of ForeignLanguages, expressed gratitude to the Thai Department of Education for itssupport, to the Maritimes Language School for its communication andcoordination, and the internship schools for their teaching guidance to theinterns. Both sides discussed the implementation of the internship programme.

At the opening ceremony, the Ginkgo students whoparticipated in the internship this year introduced themselves in Thai language, which was well received by the Thai counterparts.
Afterwards, the school held the award ceremony for the practice teaching basewith Thailand Wanlitong Language School.

02The Road of Chinese Language Teaching Well Received by Various Parties

Over the years, the school has been dedicated to imparting knowledge andthe power of the Chinese language to overseas students, and making the profoundChinese culture known to the world.

In Ginkgo interns actively understand the local economy and culture, overcome regional, linguistic, andtime barriers, and ensure overseas students comprehend and appreciate the charmof the Chinese language and culture in a serious and meticulous manner, servingas good and friendly ambassadors for the dissemination of Chinese culture.
Their efforts have gained recognition from many parties.

In March, we interviewed members of the 2nd Chinese LanguageTeaching Abroad (Offline) Internship Programme. They said the overseasinternship has enriched their professional knowledge, improved their foreignlanguage ability, broadened their horizons, and increased their insights, whichis an unforgettable experience in their lives.

03Build a foreign exchange platform to help students diversify their talents

To create more foreign exchange opportunities for Ginkgostudents, Prof Huang Ming, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, and hisdelegation also visited and exchanged ideas with the School of Languages ofChiang Mai University in Thailand during the trip.

Previously, our university and Chiang Mai University LanguageInstitute have long been in contact regarding student exchange programmes andmutual visits. The visit to the School of Languages of Chiang Mai Universityhas laid the foundation for deep cooperation and the continuation of theinternational student exchange programme. During the negotiation, the two sidesexchanged views on talent cultivation, curriculum system, and programmeobjectives.
This is a vivid example of Gingko College's solid promotion of internationalexchange and cooperation, its efforts to expand international schooloperations, and its commitment to supporting students' lifelong development.Our school will take "rooting in national traditional culture, creatinginternational understanding education characteristics, and enriching thecultural connotation of education brand" as the guiding principle,attracting from outside and connecting internally, accelerating the pace of internationalisation,and actively exploring new paths of internationalisation education developmentwith distinctive characteristics, to establish a platform for students toengage with the world.
