Gingko College of Hospitality Management and the Tourism and Services College of Nankai University Held a Signing Ceremony for Cooperation

On the morning of May 30th. 2021, thesigning ceremony of the framework agreement of cooperation between GingkoCollege of Hospitality Management and the Tourism and Services College ofNankai University was held at the Jinan Campus of Nankai University, wheretourism and hospitality universities from all over China witnessed the signingceremony through online and offline means.

Dr. Fu Jing, Vice President of Gingko College, Jia Rong, Deputy Head of Department of Tourism Management of Gingko College, Li Chuanyong, Director of Academic Affairs Office of Nankai University and Qiu Hanqin, Dean of College of Tourism and Services attended the signing ceremony, which was hosted by Yao Yanbo, Vice Dean of College of Tourism and Services. On behalf of the Tourism and Services College of Nankai University, Dean Qiu Hanqin welcomed Vice President Jing and her delegation and expressed appreciation for Gingko College's characteristic schooling in the field of tourism and hospitality in recent years. She pointed out that in the past 40 years of tourism education, the Tourism and Services College of Nankai University has been adhering to the philosophy of "Know China, ServeChina" and has been committed to the construction and development of tourism education in China. The contract with Gingko College is based on mutual benefit and long-term cooperation and is also one of the important initiatives of the college to implement "Nankai 40" and fully implement the deep integration of modern information technology and education teaching. President Qiu said that in the future, both colleges and universities will take the"new liberal arts" professional construction as an opportunity, take the "first-class professional" and "first-class curriculum"construction as the goal, and take the "international culture and tourism development" micro professional curriculum as the link to carry out various forms of exchanges and cooperation, to jointly serve China's tourism education.

Vice President Fu Jing said that Gingko College of Hospitality Management is an undergraduate institution of highereducation featuring hotel and tourism management, which is committed to excellence in hotel and tourism management education and serving the local economic construction and the development of the cultural and tourism industry.The cooperation between the two institutions will further promote Ginkgo's innovative talent training mode, improve the quality of talent training, and help the development of tourism education and the tourism industry in the western region.

It is reported that "International Culture and Tourism Development" micro major is a tourism management undergraduate education course jointly developed by Tourism and Services College of Nankai University and world-renowned tourism teaching institutions, international tourism organizations and tourism groups, which is the first English micro major project in tourism discipline in China and opens a new digital teaching model of tourism education in China. And it opens a new modeof digital teaching in tourism education in China. The "International Culture and Tourism Development" micro speciality consists of 4 courses, including "Global Tourism Development Trends", "Tourism Policyand Planning", "Culture and Tourism", and "Research Methodin Tourism Studies".

In the future, the two sides will take the "International Culture and Tourism Development" micro-professionalcourse as a link, and establish a long-term and close cooperation relationship based on the principle of "complementary advantages, resource sharing,mutual benefit and win-win, and common development", to jointly bring intoplaying their respective advantages in talent training, teaching reform and innovation, and teacher professionalism. To serve the society with better, moreand newer educational and teaching achievements, we will jointly promote thecultivation of cultural and tourism talents and the construction and development of local culture and tourism industries, we will carry outmulti-faceted and multi-level cooperation in talent training, teaching reformand innovation, professional development of teachers and scientific research.
