In recent years, with the theme of“building together, helping each other and sharing with others”, the youthvolunteer work of Gingko College of Hospitality Management is oriented to theneeds of the masses and various forms of youth volunteer service activitieshave been carried out around helping the poor and needy, providing socialservices, cultural education and beautifying the environment.

GingkoCollege of Hospitality Management, with its own advantages and influence ofhotel industry, actively promotes youth volunteer service, combines volunteerservice with talents cultivation, and constantly innovates ways to establishand improve the volunteer service organization system, which provideorganizational guarantee for the lasting and healthy development of youthvolunteer action; gradually develops and grows the volunteer service team andprovide personnel guarantee for the smooth development of youth volunteeraction; strives to serve the growth and success of youth and the basic needs ofresidents on and off campus by keeping pace with the society and laying stresson timeliness.

In October 2019, Gingko youth volunteers went to Pidu District DisabledPersons’ Federation to conduct voluntary teaching.

In December 2020, Gingko Youth VolunteersAssociation participated in the “Sichuan Youth Volunteer Cadre GrowthCamp---Chengdu University Station” to improve the projectcapacity of the volunteer service team and promote the professionalizationof volunteer service projects in Gingko College of Hospitality Management.

In May 2021, 12 volunteers of Gingko YouthVolunteers Association went to Linwan Village community to hold the “FunEnglish to Celebrate Children’s Day” activity. By actively carrying outcultural activities in the community, they performed the guidance function,cohesion function, radiation function and incentivefunction of theYouthVolunteers Association.

On March 1, 2022, WeChat official account“Youth Pidu” reported on a series of online activities of 180 college studentvolunteers of Gingko College of Hospitality Management with the title of “CelebrateWinter Olympics, Love Chengdu, Embrace the Games｜TheWinter Holiday Social Practice ofVoluntary Teaching Sports Online was Carried out Smoothly”.In response to the call of the Central Committee of Youth League, these online activitieswere organized to welcome the Winter Olympics, with the support of PiduDistrict Committee of the Communist Youth League.

In July 2022, Gingko “Volunteer Activitiesfor the Country People” social volunteer service team received the mediaattention and was reported by 14 media outlets, including China Anti-DrugOnline, People’s Education Network, China News Report Network, China PublicWelfare Frontier Network, Sichuan Anti-Drug, Yibin Daily, Nanxi Release andNanxi Convergence Media.
