Yinxing College Design and Arts Faculty has achieved outstandingsuccess  the 3rd Oriental Creative StarTeacher Innovation Competition 2025. Sun Chuanbao, Dean of Design and Arts Facultyat Yinxing College, and teacher Zhang Kang led their student team to win the ProvincialGold Award, successfully qualifying for the National Final.

Award-Winning Concept: The Translation of Bamboo

The awarded project strategically aligns ancient townculture with hospitality development. The core concept is "The Translationof Bamboo," focusing on the profound bamboo culture specific to LiujiangAncient Town. The design reinterprets traditional bamboo elements using moderndesign language to create a B&B space that possesses both cultural depthand contemporary aesthetics.

The design team abstractly extracted the form, structure,and texture of bamboo, integrating its essence and imagery into the spatiallayout, backdrop wall styling, lighting design, and furniture details. Theoverall style fuses Neo-Chinese and modern minimalist design, retaininghistorical and cultural heritage while meeting modern tourism and accommodationneeds. This realization of innovative integration—cultural inheritance, poeticdwelling, and hotel development—provides visitors with a comfortable, natural,and distinctively regional stay experience.
