2018 Education Forum for Asia Annual Conference was held at the Chengdu International Convention Centre, on September 21^st. The meeting was jointly hosted by China Association of Higher Education, SichuanP rovincial Education Department, Sichuan Bureau of Expo Affairs, Chengdu Municipal Government, Education Forum for Asia and Sichuan Normal University,organized by Education Forum for Asia Training Center and Distance Education in China Magazine with the support of Chengdu Bureau of Expo Affairs, and Chengdu Education Bureau. Xu Renzhong, the president of our college, attended the annual meeting on behalf of the college. At the meeting, Mr Xu, Xiong Jianhui,the researcher of National Education Development Research Centre, Liao Hui, the Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education and, and leaders from all provinces of the province, hadan in-depth exchange of views on many issues.

The conference of this year, centered on the theme of“Building a Community of Shared Future for Mankind, Creating a Bright Tomorrow for Asian Education”. More than 1,500 educational experts and industry representatives from 26 countries and regions including the United States, the European Union, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, India, Egypt, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. They came from domestic and foreign government departments, international organizations foundations,orvarious fields such as the scientific and technological community, the business community, the media, education delegations from Macao, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indiaand other countries and gathered in Rongcheng to discuss the education plan.

The conference aimed to further promote and deepen exchanges and cooperation between China's central and western regions and other countries in education, and established a bridge to connect educational exchanges and cooperation between Asia and the world, also bring together more excellent education resources, in order to promote the mutual benefit and win-win in education, science and technology, economy and culture.
