Gingko College of Hospitality Management Signed MOU with Prince of Songkla Univesity and Dusit Thani College in Thailand

Between November 12-15, 2019, Li Ming, President of Gingko College of Hospitality Management led a team and visited Thailand. In Phuket Province, President Li and Dr. Pun Thongchumnum, Vice President for International Cooperation of Prince Songkla University (PSU) of Phuket Campus signed a university-wide Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), under the witness of Deputy Public Health Minister of Thailand, Satit Pitutacha. At the same time, the Directors of Department of Hotel Management (DHM) and the Department of Tourism Management (DTM) of Gingko College signed a School-level Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) of PSU.

Deputy Minister Pitutacha said that he attached great importance to the signing of the PSU's academic cooperation MOU with Gingko College, and was pleased to witness the signing ceremony. He believed that the agreement concluded by the two universities has effectively enhanced the cooperation between China and Thailand in various aspects such as teacher-student exchange, cross-cultural communication and academic research. Dr. Prathana Kannaovakun, Vice President for Academics of PSU witnessing the event, spoke highly of the philosophy of Gingko College's teaching hotel, and expressed his appreciation for its' achievements in discipline integration and internationalization. VP Kannaovakun hoped that PSU would join hands with Gingko College to promote cooperation and exchange between the two schools and the two countries.

In addition, Gingko College visited Dusit Thani College (DTC) in Bangkok. Apart from MOU signing, the program leaders of both sides had productive discussions on proposals of credit recognition, students exchange, teacher visits, joint teaching and research etc. The discussion has created more opportunities for the exchange and study of Gingko College's teachers and students and made Nanxi Campus an important platform for both sides to carry out research and training programs.

The academic internationalization is based on mutual respect and understanding, equal exchanges and cooperation. While seeking for win-win cooperation, differences in languages, cultures, systems shall be understood and appreciated. It is the highlight of Gingko College to have an open mind in learning, communicating and cooperating with the world's leading hotel and tourism management schools in the process of internationalization.
